Free Books!

We had a one-day reprieve from the snow, and now we're under a blizzard warning. That means I have no choice but to stay home and work on the novella I have due March 1st.

I still have four free books available through midnight on Tuesday, February 26th.  You'll find info and links at http://www.debstover.com/books.html.

Please don't hesitate to share the link for the free books with your friends. Everybody likes getting something free now and then.

Happy reading!

Four Freebies!

It's snowing like crazy here in Colorado, but that's okay since we need the moisture and I have a deadline.  That means I have no choice but to stay home. :)

Beginning at 12:01 AM tomorrow--okay, a bit after midnight tonight, I guess--I will have 4 books free at Kindle.  One title--MULLIGAN STEW--will be free at both Kindle and iBooks.  You'll find info and links at http://www.debstover.com/books.html .

Oh, about that deadline....  To those of you who have been badgering--yes, you have--me for more than a decade to write US Marshal Sam Weathers into his own story, that's what I'm doing.  It's a novella, but he is the hero.  The title is "Play It Again, Sam," and it will be included in the next Novelist Inc anthology.  Stay tuned for more details.

Meanwhile, here's the blurb about the freebies, if you want to share.  Go for it.

12:01 AM Feb 22-midnight Feb 26, award-winning author @debstover offers 4 titles FREE! Details & links at http://www.debstover.com/books.html. Dare to read "The Galileo of Romance!"

Happy reading!

Once Upon A Time

Winter is in full swing here in the Rockies. Snow is beautiful, and moisture is necessary, but I'm ready for Spring flowers and gardens.

I'm noticing renewed interest in time travels lately, which has always been my favorite sub-genre of Romance. These books are fun to read and to write. There's something really intriguing about looking at history from a contemporary viewpoint. My favorite time travels are those that do not incorporate a revolving door time portal. The mechanism for transporting the character through time must have serious consequences. If it's too easy, it sort of spoils everything. Doesn't it? There's an article I wrote several years ago about time travels still up on the Internet here. And there's an interview with PNR on writing time travels here.

My time travels novels include: Shades of Rose, A Willing Spirit, Some Like It Hotter, Almost An Angel, Another Dawn, Citizen Daisy, and A Moment In Time. I also have a time travel novella titled "Keeper Of The Well" included in the Murder Most Romantic anthology.  You'll find more information and buy links on my Books page.

I've been busy this past year reissuing my backlist, so most of these time travels are now available in digital format. I'm planning to get Shades Of Rose--my very first book--and Almost An Angel released this spring.

Always is my latest reissue. This is a contemporary romance--a reunion story set in the Rockies--which I lovingly call "Dr. Dolittle Meets Northern Exposure." The heroine is a doctor and the hero is a veterinarian in a small quirky mountain town. Though there is humor, it's also very heartwarming and sexy. I hope you enjoy it. This book was originally released by Zebra in 2000 as A Matter Of Trust. I hope you enjoy it.

Right now I'm finishing a story for the next Novelists Inc anthology. My story is titled "Play It Again, Sam." Yes, for those of you who have been asking, this is United States Marshal Sam Weathers starring in the lead role at long last. It took some fancy work to bring him back to life, but when have I ever let that stop me?

Check my Books page often for special offers and new releases. I offer titles for free download fairly often.

Happy reading, and may all your days include a bit of magic!

Love,
